matrix wins contract worth £90,000
Matrix Resource Management, a leading supplier of computerized maintenance and
facilities management systems, has won a contract worth £90,000 with The Wates
Group to supply, install and maintain their software product,
IMPACTxp.
The Wates Group, one of the UK’s leading privately owned building, construction
and development companies, is launching a new maintenance division, Wates
Maintenance Ltd, which will deliver building fabric and M&E maintenance
nationally. IMPACTxp is Matrix’s own
brand software which will facilitate the efficient communication and delivery of
repairs and maintenance services of Wates Maintenance Ltd.
Calls from Wates Maintenance clients requesting repair works are routed directly
through the centralised IMPACTxp help desk
module. Operatives will then receive the details of the client’s request for
repair works through handheld devices. These communications will include
information such as location, job description, and urgency. The operatives will
then be able to pass back completion information to the client through their
handheld devices.
IMPACTxp eliminates the need for many
channels of communication and means that the client receives an efficient
delivery of maintenance services. Michael Furze, Head of Maintenance Division
for The Wates Group, commented on the deal, saying: “We’re really pleased to be
working with Matrix on our new venture. The smooth communication between our
clients and our operatives is obviously incredibly important to the success of
the business, so we had to pick a firm we knew could deliver.
“The key factor for choosing Matrix was chiefly their wealth of experience with
hand held mobile computing. Also, we were aware of Matrix’s reputation within
the industry of really getting to know their clients business before
implementing systems, and their eagerness to develop a partnership relationship,
not just a vendor relationship. As our business develops, so too will our
requirements for further user capacity.”
Roger Attisha, Business Manager at Matrix, commented: “This is a really
interesting project for us to be involved in and we’re delighted that Wates has
chosen to work with us in setting up its new maintenance division. It’s great to
be involved in this project from the start and we look forward to developing the
relationship with the Wates team through the implementation of the systems.”
